Montgrove College was founded by PARED (Parents for Education) in 1999 to allow families in the Western Suburbs of Sydney access to the personalised system of education offered at other PARED schools in the Hills district and Northern Suburbs. PARED was established in 1982 as a personal initiative of parents and educators to operate schools and other educational projects which assist parents in their task as primary educators. The founders of the PARED schools introduced into Australia a personalised system of education which is also implemented in many schools throughout the world. This system of education was developed in Europe in the 1950s when parents were encouraged by Saint Josemaria Escriva, founder of Opus Dei, to exercise greater responsibility in the education of their children. 14 Gipps Street, Werrington; 9833-0499 Montgrove College, Werrington, PARED
